Abstract

This research poster examines the role of Makerspace activities in enhancing student learning and engagement through a collaborative, hands-on approach. The study demonstrates that participation in such environments significantly increases student motivation by fostering self-directed, project-based learning, thereby promoting the development of critical skills including problem-solving, critical thinking, and collaboration. Furthermore, the findings underscore the potential of Makerspaces to create inclusive educational settings, despite ongoing challenges related to ensuring equitable access and sustained involvement among diverse student populations. Overall, the research suggests that the thoughtful integration of Makerspace environments into educational curricula can enrich pedagogical practices and facilitate innovative learning experiences.
