Abstract

© 2019 ACM. In this paper, we have utilized the eye tracking technology to analyze and compare the behavior of autistic and normal developing children when they are trying to capture and locate human faces embedded in different stimuli. We have defined three areas of interest that reflect the position of human faces within the stimuli. Various metrics are used to analyze the difference in behavior between the two groups. The findings provide results to the non-typical ways in which autistic children identify human faces.
