Abstract

Looking back to our careers as expatriate educators working in the Arabian Peninsula and realizing a necessity to transform and innovate the existing beliefs and practices on language education, we undertook the endeavor of creating this edited volume having a specific audience in mind: students and educators in countries where the official language is Arabic, regardless of their home/first language, who teach using the English language; education policy-makers who are looking for voices who live through this unique and challenging experience of growing economies in the Arabian Peninsula.
