Abstract
Undergraduate Research is a phenomenon that is not entirely new in higher education. The international trend for students to engage in undergraduate research holds true for undergraduate students in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Although only recently endorsed in the UAE, undergraduate research is highly valued and very much recognized as a crucial part of student learning and engagement. This chapter will review and discuss some of the most recent attempts made to endorse research at the undergraduate level.
