Abstract
Households usually consist of housewives and family members that are connected together to maids to accomplish specific chores. However, UAE household members find it difficult to manage their households. Therefore, ‘My Household’ Application has been established by Zayed University students to aid in the management of family chores, allowances, and the overall routine of a household. The methodology used to establish this app is the SDLC. Thus, the application went through the planning phase, the requirements were collected, analyzed and modeled, and the interfaces were designed. My Household application is user-friendly and easy to customize. It provides the ability to create a chore and set its deadline, frequency, priority, and reminder time, and calculates the number of completed chores, which facilitates managing the household chores. Also, the app can simplify the process of cleaning rooms by allowing the housewife and family members to add their schedule, so the maid can know when the room is available for cleaning. The study ended with consequences and possible future developments. Additionally, My Household allows creating an unlimited number of chores.
