Abstract
Over the past few years, Internet-enabled business, or e-business, has drastically improved efficiency and revenue growth of companies. Information is in the center of everything, and it is constantly under threat from many sources. Without proper protection, e-business applications can be susceptible to attacks or unauthorized activity. Security has been an elemental concern in e-business since its beginning in Middle East region and especially in United Arab Emirates (UAE). It is argued that ebusiness cannot attain its potential until the security concerns are addressed adequately. The survey results have been discussed in respect of security measures and their contribution towards consumers' decision-making processes. Copyright 2008 ACM.
