Abstract
Traditional approaches to accessibility in computing education treat it as a specialized accommodation rather than a core value, perpetuating exclusion. Recent HCI research demonstrates practical solutions: participatory design, tool redesign, and curriculum integration that work when properly resourced and sustained. Lasting change requires shifting from individual instructor efforts to institutional commitment supported by longitudinal research.
