Abstract

This study examines the barriers faced by entrepreneurs in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and explores strategies for overcoming these challenges through technology-based solutions. Using a quantitative observational design, survey data were collected from 128 entrepreneurs and aspiring business owners across diverse industries. Findings reveal that market competition (38.3%), lack of funding (32.8%), and limited market knowledge (28.1%) are the most significant barriers to entrepreneurial growth. Respondents also highlighted difficulties in scaling operations, accessing mentorship, and navigating regulatory requirements. While 63.3% of participants had not previously used technology-based tools, the majority expressed openness to adopting digital applications that integrate market research, funding opportunities, networking, and mentorship features.
