Abstract

This study aims to investigate students with learning difficulties (LD) 's perceptions of science learning in private schools in Dubai. Specifically, it examines critical factors such as intrinsic motivation, self-efficacy, and self-determination, which are crucial for understanding how these students engage with and develop an interest in science education. To achieve this, a quantitative research approach was employed using a structured questionnaire tailored for students with LD. The questionnaire was distributed online to ensure a broad, accessible reach, resulting in data collected from 110 students with learning difficulties. The findings show that students with LD generally have positive attitudes toward science learning. They exhibit a genuine interest and enthusiasm for developing their knowledge and skills in science. The study emphasizes the importance of fostering these psychological factors and calls for collaborationa mong educational stakeholders to create an inclusive environment that supports all students' learning needs.
