Abstract
One of the universities’ primary objectives is to enhance their students’ leadership skills. This study examines the leadership skills of preservice teachers in the Department of Education, including their character, personality, and performance during classroom teaching. The study is based on Northouse’s transformational leadership model, which includes four components: idealized influence, inspirational motivation, intellectual stimulation, and individualized consideration. The study observed 32 preservice teachers during teaching in the classroom and identified which traits were exhibited most and least. The study suggests that the university should introduce preservice teachers to new perspectives, courses, and training that may enhance their teacher leadership qualities successfully. The results provide additional information on transformational leadership in education, including its effects on learners’ opinions of administration, necessary leadership skills, academic motivation, resilience, burnout, and academic performance. The search results include a literature review on transformational leadership and a qualitative study on leadership attributes in academic libraries.
