Abstract

Utilizing technological applications in an e-learning setting effectively cultivates teachers’ design thinking mindsets, encompassing qualities such as adaptability to uncertainty, empathy, attentiveness, collaboration, a disposition for learning, and confidence in creativity. This chapter discusses the influence of an e-learning environment on developing preservice and in-service teachers’ mindsets. The e-learning approach was meticulously crafted through the skillful deployment of technological applications, wherein pre-service and in-service teachers should receive comprehensive training in instructional design and obtain the Apple Teaching Certificate to reskill and upskill their level of technology use. This chapter presents a framework of an e-learning environment that integrates the design thinking process with a reflective practice model to develop design thinking mindsets.
