Abstract

With the widespread use of information and communication technology (ICT), society has undergone significant changes, leading to the era of the “knowledge society.” However, the digitalization of education has posed challenges for students and teachers. This chapter explores educators’ perceptions regarding integrating ChatGPT as a digital support tool for teaching and learning. The chapter’s findings offer valuable insights into the potential of ChatGPT in education, informing future research endeavors in this domain. The positive impact of ChatGPT on lesson planning, teaching, and learning is particularly notable, while its application in assessment and feedback remains relatively limited. This chapter identifies key challenges and benefits associated with ChatGPT implementation in each area and provides recommendations for overcoming the identified challenges.
