Abstract

Shopping has never been out of trend even if it changes its form throughout history. Even though online shopping has grown in popularity over the last few years, traditional shopping has not yet been completely overtaken. Living in the era of technology, most of us strive for faster service and better products. Companies all over the world are using up-to-date technologies to make the shopping experience easier and more convenient. Shoppers sometimes have to queue for a long time to check out and finalize the checkout process and payment. In return that puts more workload and pressure on shops' staff to ensure better services for customers, especially in shopping seasons and peak hours signifying the need for more staff and labor in the shops. For a greater reason, our proposed application Easy Shop is introducing a new model of Smart Cart that helps customers and groceries to improve the shopping and payment process with more efficient and secure methods to facilitate and enhance the shopping experience for customers in UAE. Our central objective is to simplify the shopping experience for customers by saving time and making it convenient. The technologies involved in automating our product are indoor navigation systems, smart sensors, the application of machine learning, and self-checkout technologies.
